Ziegler (1895-1979)  served as the Head of the CUA Department of History from 1941 to 1960 and as the editor of the Catholic Historical Review from 1936 to 1957. He was also Regional Chaplain and Moderator of the National Federation of Catholic College Students (NFCCS) after WWII.
